Details: Owned by Florinda Hoppe of Sioux Center, IA, this Impala SS was built by Lakeside Rods & Rides of Rockwell City, IA, and was a gift from husband Doug Hoppe. Florinda is a cancer survivor and feels "touched by an angel," thus reflecting the car's theme. Painted with DuPont by Roger Burman of Lakeside Rods & Rides, and upholstered by Paul Atkins Interiors, it features a GM LS2 motor and GM 4L60E transmission. Sherm's Custom Plating and B&B Fabrications also contributed to the one-year build. The Hoppes won a Mothers® Choice Award in 2007 with their 1935 Ford 3-Window, and also brought home the Shine Award in 2006 with their 1967 Mustang "Reactor."
